Maria Elisa is a Brazilian born in São Paulo, in 1976. She became a yoga practitioner in 1999, after working in Marketing and Advertising in her 20’s.
So, in 2003, she finally took the courage and went to take her first Teacher Training in Michigan with Jonny Kest at the Centre for Yoga where she gained her RYT 500 through Yoga Alliance USA. Maria describes herself as an “explorer” in the yoga world – she started her yoga journey as a passionate “ashtangi”, however after 6 years in this practice she felt she wanted to focus more on alignment and the more restorative dimensions of yoga – it was at this time she explored Iyengar and Yin yoga. Nowadays, she believes Vinyasa Yoga and Yin Yoga allows her to express and teach what she knows. Maria is also a Reiki Therapist registered with a Japanese Certificate since 2012. She’s been living in Gisborne with her husband Fabio since 2015. Both living the dream as it was one day to live and work in Aotearoa – New Zealand.
Even though, Reset was created in 2015; it was only in May 2018; that Maria Elisa started to manage it by herself. Passionate for what she does she likes to think that Reset is a safe space for the practice of yoga.
Juanita developed a passion for yoga in 2011 and undertook regular practice in my home city of Bangalore, India. She undertook her RYT-200 course and was certified in 2015, with a specialization in Prenatal yoga.
She has taught at Reset since the beginning and loves to practice at the studio too. She loves to teach a strong and balancing Hatha class as well as a relaxing Yin class.
Victoria is a lawyer-turned-yoga teacher, who initially discovered yoga to cope with the stresses of her legal career. Her practice developed from a cherished escape to a passionate calling, and she made the jump from law to teaching, completing teacher training with Blissology Yoga under Eoin Finn. She now has over a decade of teaching experience and has completed over 500 hours of teacher training.
In 2020 she and her husband, both ocean lovers, moved from Oregon, USA to Gisborne in search of waves and the adventure of living abroad. Guided by a deep reverence for nature and community, Victoria’s classes are both thoughtful and fluid, inviting you to awaken the power of the breath, the stillness of the mind, and the wisdom of the heart.
Kia ora! My name is Karryn Heaps and I am the Tamariki Yoga teacher at Reset Studio. I learnt how to teach yoga to Tamariki after completing the 200 hour Tamariki Yoga Teacher Training course under the guidance of Maria Elisa Del Gaudio Gerronazo.
It gives me such joy to share my knowledge with the Tamariki. Classes provide opportunities to learn breathing techniques to decrease stress and anxiety, promotes mindfulness, encourages concentration, improves coordination and balance, regulates emotions and aids a calm mind.
